What you're getting into
Every decision matters because every match can end your run. No saves to fall back on - just you, your XI, and the draw.
Fail to escape your group, or lose a single knockout, and the run is over. Roguelike rules bring real weight to every team-sheet.
The full 2026 format - 12 groups of 4, top two plus eight best third-placed teams, then a 32-team knockout all the way to the final.
Seven formations, a starting XI with positional familiarity, and a defensive / balanced / attacking approach. Squad fatigue and team morale carry between matches.
Minute-by-minute commentary, pre-match scouting and win probabilities, then extra time and penalty shootouts when the knockouts get tight.
Earn Prestige scaled to how far you got, unlock new formations, climb Manager Levels and chase records - trophies, best finish per nation, biggest upset.
No account, no internet, no ads. The whole game runs on your device - play it on the train, on a plane, anywhere.
Sixty years of tournaments, 1966 to 2026, each with its own format and squads. One game, fifteen different worlds to conquer.
A wheel of nations and years, a Dream XI drafted from any era, then a knockout to prove it. Pure what-if football.
The loop
Win it or get knocked out - then go again, a little stronger.
Choose one of 48 countries and name yourself manager. Underdog grind or favourite's pressure - the choice sets the difficulty.
Choose a formation, build your XI around positional familiarity, and pick your tactical approach for each match.
Scout the opponent, read the win odds, then watch it play out minute-by-minute. Change your tactics and the match changes with you.
Three group games decide your fate. Manage fatigue and morale - finish top two, or sweat on a best-third-placed spot.
Round of 32 down to the final. One bad ninety - or one missed penalty - and the run ends. No second legs.
Lift the trophy or bow out. Either way you bank Prestige, unlock formations and level up for the next attempt.
More ways to play
Replay history edition by edition, or draft a team that never existed - the bracket bends to how you want to play.
Play any tournament from England '66 onward, each to its own era-correct format and period squads - 16-team fields that go straight to the quarters, the classic 24, the modern 32, and the 48-nation 2026 bracket. Pick your edition and rewrite history with the same permadeath stakes.
Spin the nation-and-year wheel and draft a Dream XI one player at a time, mixing squads from any era. Elite teams come up rare, so every spin is a gamble. Fill all eleven slots, then take your all-stars through a 32-team knockout.
Beyond the run
Permadeath ends the run, not your progress. There's always a streak to keep, an achievement to chase, or a record to beat.
A fresh run every day - one nation and one twist (no subs, star players out, opponents bumped, no fatigue recovery), the same for everyone worldwide. Win to build your streak. It never touches your career, so it's pure bragging rights.
Four tiers, from your first win to lifting ten trophies - go a whole tournament without conceding, beat a side 250 Elo stronger, win on penalties, or take the title with five different nations. All tracked on your Records screen.
Clear a knockout and draft a boon - one of three permanent buffs for the rest of the run. They stack, so every run builds a little differently. Roguelike relics, football-flavoured.
Every run feeds your record book - trophies won, your best finish with each nation, your biggest upset and longest win streak. Bank Prestige to unlock formations and climb the Manager Levels that crank up the difficulty.
